Ingredients
8 sausages of your choice
2-3 yellow onions, sliced
1 garlic clove, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 cup lagger or dark beer
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large frying pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic and sauté, stirring regularly, until onions are caramelized (about 10 to 15 minutes). Set aside.
In the same pan, add the sausages. Cook until browned on all sides.
Reduce heat to medium-low and return onions and garlic to skillet. Add the mustard and beer, then cover and simmer for about 25-35 minutes, until the sausages are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve sausages with onion and beer sauce.
