Stroganoff ground beef

A rich and flavourful dish with ground beef, mushrooms and a creamy sauce, to serve over pasta, rice or simply on its own!

Servings: 4

Ingredients

 

  • 450g ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pack white mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup cooking cream
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until onion is translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef and mix until evenly cooked through, then stir in the mushrooms and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle with flour and mix well. Add the beef stock and allow the sauce to thicken for a few minutes.
  4. Reduce heat, add cream, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper, and mix well.
  5. Simmer for a few more minutes, then serve over pasta or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
