A classic roast beef with a garlic and pepper crust, perfect for a tasty, simple meal.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 top-round roast beef
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp. cracked black peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Rub roast beef with olive oil, minced garlic, cracked black peppercorns and salt, then place in an ovenproof dish.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes, then turn the oven down to 275°F and continue cooking for about 2 hours, or until the roast beef is cooked to your liking.
  4. Let roast beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing, then serve.
